The current contribution rate for the NEBF is 3% of your gross wage.
It is advisable to begin 6-9 months before your retirement date to fill out the paperwork. You can get on the NEBF website by clicking the Icon to the left to review information about what is required from you to get started. You can download the packet (18 pages) or you can pick one up at the union hall.

"A" members of the IBEW are eligible to apply for a normal retirement pension if they have five (5) or more years of continuous good standing at the time of their application for pension, and have reached age sixty-five (65). All members must apply through the local union Financial Secretary for pension on the prescribed form, which will be obtained from the International Secretary. In Addition to satisfying the eligibility requirements of age 65 and 5 years continuous good standing, the member must be fully retired from the electrical industry in order to receive his or her normal retirement pension benefit.
